
Dr. Priti Parekh, MD, is a physician, writer, speaker, and YouTuber dedicated to inspiring health enthusiasts and individuals with a genuine desire to live healthier, more vibrant, and more fulfilling lives. Her work empowers people to reconnect with their body’s natural ability to heal while enjoying the journey along the way.
Dr. Parekh views health as more than the absence of disease. She defines true health as a state of complete physical, mental, and emotional well being. Through her medical practice, content, and public speaking, she emphasizes identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than merely managing symptoms.
She is an American Board certified physician in Internal Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and Obesity Medicine, and is also certified in Physician Leadership. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Parekh brings over two decades of clinical experience to her work.
Throughout her career, she has led her own health clinic, worked with prominent healthcare organizations including Kaiser Permanente, and currently practices at Stanford Health Care. Her medical training includes graduation from the Whole Health Medicine Institute and advanced training through UC San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program.
Dr. Parekh earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Internal Medicine from Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, an institution affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She has also served her community as a member of the Dublin Unified School District (DUSD) Wellness Committee in her hometown of Dublin, California.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Parekh is the creator and host of the popular YouTube channel “Pretty Healthy with Dr. Priti,” where approximately 46,000 viewers regularly tune in to learn practical lifestyle strategies, wellness insights, and evidence-based health guidance. She has interviewed some of the most interesting and influential voices in health and wellness on behalf of her patients and followers.
Dr. Parekh has also appeared on multiple Bay Area radio shows, sharing her expertise and advocating for a more holistic, mindful approach to healthcare.
When she is not caring for patients, creating content, or interviewing thought leaders, Dr. Parekh enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with her family often while watching a good comedy.
