
Vasuki Rao is a health sciences professional and aspiring physician with a strong commitment to community centered care and health education. She recently graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Health Sciences and is currently working as a tutor while preparing her medical school applications.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Vasuki is passionate about serving her community in meaningful and impactful ways. Through her clinical and academic experiences, she has observed how gaps in health education can lead to significant negative health outcomes, reinforcing her belief in the importance of accessible, evidence based health information.
During her time in Saint Louis, Vasuki worked in collaboration with the local public health department to organize and host Naloxone education and harm reduction workshops for students and faculty. These initiatives focused on increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting practical strategies to address substance related health risks.
Vasuki has a particular interest in working with underserved populations and addressing health disparities through the lens of social determinants of health. Her professional goals center on advancing health equity through education, prevention, and community engagement, aligning closely with the mission of the Pretty Healthy Foundation.
